IREIS is now returning as property activity in Abu Dhabi accelerates. The International Real Estate and Investment Show, known as IREIS, will run from 2026, September 17 to 19 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. It will bring developers, investors, banks, institutional buyers and homebuyers into the same venue.
IREIS is arriving after a sharp rise in transactions, so the conversations at ADNEC will be tied to real buying activity.
Transaction Value Reaches Dh203.01 Billion
The transaction value of real estate in Abu Dhabi rose 76.6 per cent to Dh203.01 billion during the 12 months ending June 30, 2026, according to the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre. The number of transactions increased 64.53 per cent to 53,177.
The first six months of 2026 were particularly strong. Property sales reached Dh88.25 billion, already close to the Dh93.34 billion recorded during the whole of 2025. Total property transaction value for the half-year stood at Dh121.90 billion, compared with Dh142.21 billion for all of last year.
A six-month number approaching a previous full-year figure explains why investors are treating Abu Dhabi as more than a slow-moving market.
A Dh2.78 Trillion Development Pipeline
Development projects worth Dh2.78 trillion, or US$758 billion, are in planning, development and construction across Abu Dhabi, based on BNC Network data.
The emirate’s active construction portfolio crosses Dh477 billion, equivalent to US$130 billion, supported by more than 38,600 licences. This includes over Dh200 billion, or US$57 billion, that is allocated to the Abu Dhabi Plan for Infrastructure, along with a Dh55 billion public-private partnership pipeline.
On the ground, these figures mean roads, utilities, communities, commercial districts and public facilities being planned beside residential projects.
As Abu Dhabi’s real estate activity accelerates, property owners and managers need smarter ways to handle growing portfolios and daily operations.
Property management software helps streamline tenant management, lease tracking, rent collection, maintenance requests and property records, making it easier to manage real estate assets efficiently as the market expands.
IREIS Is Built Around Property Sales
Approved by the DCT Abu Dhabi (Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi), IREIS is positioned as the emirate’s largest real estate sales exhibition. Developers will market and sell projects directly to investors and end-users instead of using the event only for visibility.
Reservations, transactions and investment decisions are expected. Buyers can compare projects, review flexible payment plans, access exhibition offers and see residential, commercial and mixed-use developments in one place.
Opportunities Beyond Abu Dhabi
Although based in the capital, IREIS 2026 will feature opportunities from across the UAE. Projects from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and other growing markets are expected alongside Abu Dhabi developments.
An Abu Dhabi-based buyer does not necessarily restrict a portfolio to the capital. The same investor might consider a Dubai apartment, a Sharjah family home, an Ajman property or a hospitality-linked opportunity in Ras Al Khaimah.
Dubai continues to lead regional activity through residential, commercial and mixed-use projects attracting international capital. Abu Dhabi offers a different case, built around economic stability, population growth and investment. Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah are drawing attention through affordable housing, waterfront communities, hospitality projects and lifestyle developments.
The 2025 Event Set the Pattern
IREIS 2025 brought together projects from leading UAE developers and included exhibition incentives, launches and on-site booking opportunities. It showed demand for a place where buyers could assess properties from several emirates under one roof.
Comparison remains one of the harder parts of buying property. Payment plans are presented differently. Service charges can sit beneath the headline price.
Conference Topics Go Beyond Sales
IREIS 2026 will host a conference involving government representatives, developers, financial institutions, economists and property specialists. Discussions will cover Abu Dhabi’s role as a regional investment centre, banking and real estate expansion, sustainable infrastructure, fractional ownership, PropTech and foreign direct investment.
The programme will also examine property’s role in economic diversification, UAE–Europe investment corridors and the future of real estate brokerage. Technology is changing how properties are marketed and managed.
IREIS representative Arun Bose said the event has developed into a UAE-wide marketplace where developers meet serious investors and deals are completed. Abu Dhabi provides the venue and investor base, but the projects and capital flows extend across the Emirates.
What Visitors Can Expect
UAE and international developers are expected to participate, together with thousands of investors, institutional buyers and property professionals. Details on exhibitors, conference programmes, investment forums and visitor registration will be announced in the coming weeks.
IREIS 2026 will take place at ADNEC on September 17, 18 and 19. It arrives with strong transaction figures behind it and a vast development pipeline ahead. It means Abu Dhabi’s market is active enough that buyers, developers and lenders want to be in the same room when decisions are made.
