
Abu Dhabi: As part of the UAE Corporate Tax’s Free Zone laws, the UAE Ministry of Finance launched a digital public consultation on its website. Contributions will be handled between July 19 and August 2, 2023.
The business community and stakeholders can provide feedback on this effort, which got announced on Wednesday. The consultation period starts from July 19 to August 2, 2023.
The Ministry noted that “the plan reflects the significant contribution of free zones to the local economy and their integral role in stimulating growth and economic transformation locally and internationally.” The Ministry’s emphasis on digital public consultation underscores its strong belief in engaging with the business community and other stakeholders. This commitment aligns with its top priorities, aimed at actively contributing to realizing the UAE’s strategic objectives.
The Ministry of Finance is holding this consultation to get input from businesses in free zones and ensure that their operations align with the permitted and prohibited business activities. The ministry welcomes comments that are concise and well-written and that are backed up by facts, figures, or other relevant information. The submission deadline is August 2, 2023. All responses will be held in strict confidence and kept private.
